We were thrilled to see our Executive Director, Kimberly Howard Wade, "Queen Bee," and our Board Member Tonia Jones, "Southern Girl," featured live on AM Extra to share what makes Caldera unique. At the heart of our work is mentorship in nature, art, and community, pillars that help young people discover their creative voices and the confidence to use them.
As Kimberly noted, "When youth feel valued within their community, they gain the confidence to change the world." Tonia then emphasized the importance of mentorship and connecting our youth with nature, which then helps them tap into their creativity and discover their authentic voices.
You can be part of this movement, too. One way to join the Caldera community and support youth empowerment is by becoming a volunteer. To learn more about volunteering, check out the Get Involved page.
Together, we'll celebrate creativity, community, and connection, and discover your own Caldera name along the way.
